Palworld, a game often referred to as 'Pokemon with guns', is set to release in early access on January 19, 2024, on PC and Xbox, with no plans for a PS5 release at the moment.
The game, developed by Pocketpair, has been met with controversy as Pokemon fans accuse the developers of blatantly copying and ripping off creature designs from the Pokemon franchise.
Despite the controversy, the game has been generating a lot of interest and hype, with Twitch viewership numbers soaring as streamers showcase the game's unique blend of monster-catching, survival, and crafting mechanics.
Palworld will support co-op multiplayer, allowing up to four players to play together, and will also have a dedicated server option that enables up to 32 players in multiplayer.
However, the game will not have crossplay capabilities at launch, and there is no confirmation on whether it will have mod support or cross-progression in the future.
