Palo Alto Police Arrest Suspected Burglar Found Drinking Homeowner’s Wine

The 31-year-old from San Francisco is being held on $61,000 bail ahead of a Wednesday court appearance.

  • Officers identified the suspect as 31-year-old Sabina Blanco of San Francisco after a neighborhood search, and he left the house when the resident told him to go.
  • Blanco was booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of residential burglary, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor battery on a police officer for allegedly spitting on an officer.
  • The victim reported the home had been rummaged through, and authorities have not said whether anything beyond the wine was taken.
