Palmeiras Go Top After Dramatic Comeback as CBF Admits Errors in Choque‑Rei Officiating

Overview

• Palmeiras rallied to beat São Paulo 3-2 at Morumbis, with Vitor Roque, Flaco López and Ramón Sosa overturning first‑half goals by Luciano and Gonzalo Tapia.
• Bahia defeated Flamengo 1-0 at Fonte Nova as Danilo was sent off early and Wallace Yan was later dismissed, a result that cost Flamengo the lead.
• The round ends with Palmeiras provisionally first on 55 points, ahead of Flamengo on number of wins and with a game in hand before the international break.
• São Paulo lodged a formal complaint citing a non‑awarded penalty on Tapia and the non‑expulsions of Andreas Pereira and Gustavo Gómez, with VAR decisions questioned.
• The CBF acknowledged officiating errors in the Choque‑Rei and, via arbitration director Rodrigo Cintra, removed the match crew from duty as wider refereeing controversies surfaced across the round.
