Palm Springs Film Festival Announces 2025 Lineup Featuring 'Better Man' and 'The Penguin Lessons'

The festival will showcase 158 films from 71 countries, including 35 Oscar international feature contenders, over 11 days in January.

The 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival will run from January 2 to January 13, 2025, opening with Michael Gracey’s musical biopic 'Better Man' and closing with Peter Cattaneo’s dramedy 'The Penguin Lessons'.
This year’s event will feature 158 films from 71 countries, including 68 premieres across various categories such as world, international, North American, U.S., and California premieres.
A focus on Spanish films will include a spotlight on celebrated filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, showcasing works like 'All About My Mother' and 'Talk to Her'.
The festival will screen 35 submissions for the Best International Feature Film Oscar, with a jury of international critics selecting top honors in this category.
Special programs include Talking Pictures with filmmakers and actors, Queer Cinema Today, Cine Latino, Modern Masters, and a Family Day featuring family-friendly films.
