• The Palm Bay City Council voted 4–1 after a five-hour meeting to send a letter requesting the governor remove first-term council member Chandler Langevin.
• More than 50 people spoke during public comment as hundreds, including many Indian American residents, packed City Hall to urge his ouster.
• The council also asked state Sen. Debbie Mayfield to file a complaint with the Florida Commission on Ethics regarding Langevin’s conduct.
• Langevin posted statements such as “Deport every Indian immediately” and “America for Americans. India for Indians,” then refused to resign or apologize and argued he was criticizing immigration and H‑1B visa policies.
• Republican and Democratic officials, including U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and House Democratic Leader Fentrice Driskell, condemned the remarks, and Odyssey Charter School removed Langevin from its board.
