Palghar Rolls Out Seva Fortnight With Doorstep Certificates, Water and Livelihood Push

Officials are using the two-week drive to take government services directly to villages.

Overview

  • District collector Indu Rani Jakhar launched the service fortnight in Jawhar and Mokhada, with events and reviews underway since September 17 and scheduled through October 2.
  • A new Sevadoot system will deliver income and residence certificates at citizens’ homes to speed access to benefits.
  • Sixty bonded labourers received caste certificates at the Mokhada Multi-Purpose Center, with orders issued for rehabilitation and MGNREGS employment.
  • Mokhada has 53 farm ponds sanctioned for 2025–26, including 35 in Poshera where 28 are completed, with each pond designed to store about 2.5 lakh litres.
  • Pending Jal Jeevan Mission works were directed for immediate completion, alongside instructions to process farmer applications for wells and solar pumps and to examine tourism options at Khutade.
