Palestinian Activist Charged with Murdering Family in Illinois

Maher Kassem, a 63-year-old Palestinian activist, is accused of shooting his wife and three daughters to death in their home in Tinley Park, Illinois, after an argument over family finances.
Kassem's 19-year-old son witnessed part of the massacre but was left unharmed. He has been named as a witness in the case.
Kassem, who had recently retired, allegedly told police that his family treated him poorly and was only concerned about his money.
The victims were described by neighbors as 'very intelligent' and having 'high goals in life'.
Kassem had a valid firearms owner identification card and no previous criminal history.
