Overview
- Alyssa M. Smith, 24, was reported missing to Palatine police on Sept. 30 after last contacting family three days earlier.
- Her boyfriend, Jacob Ray Caso, returned to their home without her on Oct. 1 and searched the area where she was last seen.
- Investigators have followed up on several tips of possible sightings in Chicago, including a reported sighting in Grant Park on Oct. 3 and leads near Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road.
- Palatine police released a physical description to help locate Smith: about 5'5" and 135–140 pounds, brown hair and eyes, multiple piercings, numerous tattoos including a 'Pennywise' clown on her left shoulder, and the clothes she was last believed to be wearing; detectives can be reached at 847-359-9000 and anyone who sees her should call 911.
- Family and the boyfriend have circulated posters and social posts reporting tips and an alleged injury or a TikTok identification, but police say those claims are unverified and continue to investigate leads on the ground.
