Pakistani National Stabs Wife to Death Before Killing Himself in Navi Mumbai

  • Notandas alias Sanjay Sachdev, 45, allegedly fatally stabbed his wife Sapna Notandas, 35, in their Kharghar rented flat on June 9 following a domestic dispute and then used the same knife to take his own life.
  • The bodies were discovered on Monday when Sapna’s sister visited the flat after growing concerned over unanswered calls.
  • The couple, Pakistani nationals, had been residing in India on long-term visas since November 2024 and lived in the flat with their two children.
  • Kharghar Police registered a case under section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and have launched a verification of the couple’s visa and identity documents.
