Overview
- The NEOC scheduled a weeklong campaign from October 13 to 19 to reach more than 45 million children under five.
- Over 400,000 trained workers will deliver oral polio drops through home visits, schools and public-area sites.
- Children will also receive an additional dose of Vitamin A to help strengthen immunity.
- Targets include over 23 million children in Punjab, about 10.6 million in Sindh, around 7.2 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and more than 2.6 million in Balochistan, with Islamabad, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan also included.
- Authorities urged parents to ensure every eligible child receives drops and completes routine immunisation, noting Pakistan has recorded 29 cases in 2025 and remains polio-endemic alongside Afghanistan.
