Pakistan Says 30 Militants Killed in KP Raids as India Busts ISI-Linked Module

Security agencies describe cross-border handler networks under investigation after recent attacks, a claim denied by India and Afghanistan.

Overview

  • Pakistan’s army said 23 militants were killed in two engagements in Kurram on Nov. 19, with seven more reported dead in separate operations in Mohmand, Lakki Marwat and Tank over Nov. 18–19, and follow-up ‘sanitisation’ underway.
  • A joint CTD–police raid in Sarai Naurang killed two suspects tracked near Nali Chak Road, while separate incidents included an IED blast in Dera Ismail Khan that killed two police and a TTP assault in Bannu that left seven dead.
  • Ludhiana Police reported an ISI-directed multi-state module using virtual numbers, arrested two suspects after a shootout, and recovered two Chinese-made grenades and five pistols; three alleged associates had been held earlier.
  • Punjab police said the injured Ludhiana suspects were tasked to target government buildings and identified them as Deepak alias Deepu and Ram Lal, alleging direction from a Pakistan-based handler and links to the Lawrence Bishnoi network.
  • Indian media, citing investigators, reported a Pakistan-based Jaish handler allegedly sent bomb-making and suicide-bomber videos to suspects tied to the Delhi Red Fort car blast, with the probe continuing into foreign handlers and funding.
