Overview
- The Provincial Disaster Management Authority in Punjab and the National Disaster Management Authority placed provincial and district administrations on alert on Aug 29 and ordered health, irrigation, works and local government teams to prepare.
- The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts monsoon currents now over the north and says a westerly wave arriving around Aug 31 may boost rainfall through about Sept 5 or 6.
