Overview
- The PCB released Hasan Nawaz to play the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, named no ODI replacement, and added Fakhar Zaman to the T20 squad.
- Pakistan confirmed separate white-ball captains with Shaheen Shah Afridi leading the ODIs and Salman Ali Agha captaining the T20Is.
- Sri Lanka landed in Pakistan with Charith Asalanka as white-ball captain after fitness changes that ruled out Matheesha Pathirana (URTI) and Dilshan Madushanka (knee).
- Asitha Fernando replaces Pathirana in the T20 group and Eshan Malinga comes in for Madushanka in the ODI squad, with senior players such as Kusal Mendis and Wanindu Hasaranga included.
