Overview
- Returning officers will issue public notices for nominations on December 19, with nomination papers accepted from December 22 to 27.
- Scrutiny of nomination papers will run from December 30 to January 3, followed by appeals from January 5 to 8 and tribunal decisions from January 9 to 13.
- Candidates may withdraw by January 15, after which final lists will be published and election symbols allotted on January 16.
- Polling will be held from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm across 125 union councils in the Islamabad Capital Territory.
- Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon has been appointed District Returning Officer as the ECP administers the process under the 2015 local government framework.
