- APCMA data show exports fell to 590,183 tons in November 2025, down 26.53% year-on-year and marking a third straight monthly decline.
- The slump followed drops of about 23% in October and 15% in September, extending a three-month downtrend in external sales.
- Exports from north-based mills were almost nil in November after the Pakistan–Afghanistan border closed at the end of October, while southern exports fell 7.08% to 590,021 tons.
- Domestic dispatches edged up 2.23% to 3.549 million tons, lifting total November sales to 4.14 million tons, a 3.17% decrease from a year earlier.
- For July–November, total dispatches rose 11.54% to 21.445 million tons as exports held near 4.009 million tons, and PBS reported a sharp nationwide export drop and a wider monthly trade deficit.
