Overview

  • Field Marshal Asim Munir presided over the August 2 induction at Multan Garrison, marking the arrival of the first Z-10ME batch.
  • A live-fire demonstration at Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges showcased the helicopter’s day-night precision-strike capabilities.
  • The all-weather Z-10ME is fitted with advanced radar, electronic warfare suites and a Directed Infrared Countermeasure system for greater survivability.
  • Its armament package includes CM-502 air-to-surface missiles, TY-90 air-to-air missiles and a 70mm guided rocket launcher for close air support and anti-armor missions.
  • The procurement addresses earlier Turkish T129 ATAK delays caused by U.S. engine restrictions and deepens Sino-Pak defense cooperation.
