Overview

• PE50 opens August 22 at the Museo de Arte de la SHCP and presents 103 works by 94 artists through March 2026.
• The state-held collection now comprises 11,671 works by 1,462 artists, including 7,302 paintings, 2,335 sculptures, 1,845 prints, 171 photographs, 17 installations and one video.
• The first video accepted into the program—Frida (2018) by Ignacio Rodríguez Bach—entered from the 2024 recaudación and features in the show.
• After six years of development, the SIRAC catalog system is in place to register the holdings and increase visibility to encourage exhibition loans.
• A 1,371,594,280‑peso insurance policy covers the corpus so borrowers need not pay for insurance, and the pending 2023 recaudación is expected to add about 538 more works.
