"Paddington in Peru" Set to Release in Theatres in 2025 with Changes to Cast and Crew

Paddington's third cinematic adventure, "Paddington in Peru," set to feature fresh faces including Emily Mortimer, Olivia Colman, and Antonio Banderas as well as returning cast, with Dougal Wilson taking the director's helm as the film explores the bear's return to his birth country.

The third instalment of the Paddington franchise, 'Paddington in Peru', is set to release in UK and U.S. theatres in November 2024 and January 2025 respectively.
The plot follows Paddington Bear as he returns to his birth country Peru to visit his Aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears, with an adventure unfolding through the Amazon rainforest and mountain peaks of Peru.
The film will feature both returning and new cast members. Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton will reprise their voice roles as Paddington and Aunt Lucy, with Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, and Olivia Colman among the live-action cast.
Rachel Zegler, originally cast to play Hunter's daughter, Gina Cabot, had to exit the film due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike; the role will now be portrayed by newcomer Carlo Tous.
Directorial duties have been passed from Paul King, who helmed the first two films, to first-time director Dougal Wilson. The screenplay is penned by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont.
