- Rachel Zegler, originally cast to play Hunter's daughter, Gina Cabot, had to exit the film due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike; the role will now be portrayed by newcomer Carlo Tous.
- Directorial duties have been passed from Paul King, who helmed the first two films, to first-time director Dougal Wilson. The screenplay is penned by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont.
