• Love underwent surgery on Aug. 12 to repair a ligament in his left thumb and returned to practice on Aug. 18, taking all reps except 11-on-11.
• In Thursday’s joint practice with Seattle, he was restricted to 7-on-7 periods with the thumb heavily taped.
• He went 3-for-12 in red-zone drills against the Seahawks’ defense that day.
• Love said the thumb feels good and that he would play if a regular-season game were this week.
