Overview

• Green Bay announced the Sept. 23 transactions, releasing veteran returner Mecole Hardman from the practice squad and signing undrafted rookie Jakobie Keeney-James.
• Hardman signed in March, was waived at final cuts on Aug. 26, then joined the practice squad before this latest release.
• Keeney-James, who played at Eastern Washington and UMass, totaled 111 college receptions for 1,664 yards and 10 touchdowns and joins as a developmental option.
• The Packers elevated offensive lineman Brant Banks to the active roster, and they still have one open spot on both the 53-man roster and the practice squad entering Week 4.
• The roster shuffling follows Jayden Reed’s placement on injured reserve and continued special-teams evaluation, with the team also working out Montrell Johnson Jr., Sam Brown Jr., Mason Brooks, Matt Waletzko and Trey Taylor.
