Pacific Drive, a first-person driving survival game by Ironwood Studios, is set in a reimagined Pacific Northwest landscape known as the Olympic Exclusion Zone, where players must navigate unpredictable storms, radioactive fields, and other peculiar anomalies.
The game involves a gameplay loop of scavenging resources to craft new equipment and repair the player's vehicle, which acts as a shelter and companion throughout the game.
Each journey in the game alters slightly, with locations moving and the car behaving differently each time, capturing the unpredictable nature of road trips.
The game also features a narrative, delivered by the disembodied voices of other Zone-dwellers over the radio, which revolves around 'Remnants' - miraculously functioning pieces of technology that exist within the Zone, including the player's car.
Pacific Drive is set to be released on February 22, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
