• Kenny Kunene was sworn in on Friday as a proportional-representation councillor in Johannesburg by Speaker Margaret Arnolds.
• PA leader Gayton McKenzie says an independent probe by law firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr cleared Kunene of wrongdoing linked to the KT Molefe arrest.
• McKenzie has given the ANC until Tuesday to reinstate Kunene as MMC for Roads and Transport, vowing to pull the PA from the GNU and to resign as minister if it does not happen.
