Overview

• Officers responded around 2:15 a.m. to the 2200 block of Fleet Street and found a 39-year-old man shot and unresponsive.
• The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
• Investigators believe the intruder broke a window to enter the store before being shot by the owner who lives on the property.
• A friend and neighbors said the owner fired a warning shot and ordered the intruder to freeze, then fired again after the suspect moved.
• WBAL-TV obtained surveillance video showing the approach, with audio reportedly capturing gunfire, and detectives requested tips at 410-396-2100 or through Metro Crime Stoppers.
