Overtime Launches Elite High School Women's Basketball League with Top WNBA Stars as Mentors

- Overtime's new elite high school women's basketball league, Overtime Select, will launch in the summer of 2024, featuring eight teams of female players aged 14 to 18. The league aims to mentor the young players and prepare them for their future basketball careers.
- The league's advisors include reigning WNBA MVP Breanna Stewart, UConn star Paige Bueckers, retired WNBA legend Seimon Augustus, LSU's Flau'jae Johnson, Zia Cooke of the Los Angeles Sparks, Kahleah Cooper of the Chicago Sky, and Atlanta Dream's Haley Jones. These renowned figures will provide mentorship to the players and help develop the league.
- The season will take place over four weekends in the summer, including games, events, and a 'Queen of the Court' competition. Well-known sponsors such as Gatorade, State Farm, and Nissan will be supporting the Overtime Select league.
- Overtime Select has already recruited top players including Aaliyah Chavez and Jazzy Davidson, the two top recruits in the country for the class of 2025. It plans to have a full roster of 100 players in the coming months.
- Besides providing a platform for high-level competition, the league also seeks to educate players about brand building and the possibilities related to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) compensation deals. An on-site business summit and tailored mentorship sessions will be held to equip players with these skills.
