Overview
- The rupture was reported just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dyckman Street and Nagle Avenue in Upper Manhattan.
- Several blocks were inundated as water rushed beneath parked cars and across nearby roadways.
- Emergency workers checked basements for damage and closed streets near Academy Street, Nagle Avenue and Post Avenue.
- The MTA said service on the B and C subway lines was affected by the flooding.
- Crews worked through the early morning to stop the flow and will open the street to locate and repair the break.
