Overview
- The fire erupted shortly after 21:00 on Thursday at the former YPF camping complex on the southeast shore of El Carrizal in Luján de Cuyo.
- Multiple firefighting units from the east zone, including Rivadavia crews, worked for more than three hours to control and extinguish the flames.
- Six cabins were destroyed and other structures and vehicles, including boats, were burned, resulting in major material losses.
- Authorities said losses are confined to property and no injuries have been recorded.
- The El Carrizal detachment has opened an investigation into the cause, with the full extent of damage still being assessed.
