Overview
- The traffic regulation order takes effect on 2 December, with inspections scheduled overnight on 3 and 4 December from 8pm to 6am.
- Restrictions cover northbound from about 400 metres north of the Burtree Lane underbridge for roughly 1.5km and southbound from about 260 metres north of the Junction 59 entry slip for about 1.4km.
- The southbound entry slip road at Junction 59 is included within the temporary 50mph zone.
- Temporary signage and standard traffic management will guide drivers, and motorists are advised to allow extra time during the overnight checks.
- Emergency service and military vehicles are exempt, and the order remains valid for up to 18 months to allow any follow-up inspections or works.
