Overland Park Police Seek Help Identifying Woman Killed in Early-Morning Crash
Detectives are examining evidence that the driver first hit a parked vehicle before striking the pedestrian.
Overview
- First responders were called around 3:30 a.m. to Goddard Street just west of Switzer in Overland Park.
 - Police say an eastbound vehicle hit a parked car, continued forward, struck a westbound pedestrian, and then came to rest against a tree.
 - The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and is described as a short white woman in her 70s with gray hair, wearing black sweatpants and a light gray hoodie.
 - The driver was transported to a hospital for injuries as investigators work to determine the full crash sequence.
