Bike4Chai Kicks Off Wednesday with Scenic Rides — and a Surprise Wildlife Encounter

Overview

  • More than 700 cyclists from around the world began the 16th annual two-day, 180-mile ride across New Jersey, the Pocono Mountains and the Catskills on August 12.
  • For the first time, the finish line at Monticello Motor Club is open to the general public and will feature complimentary refreshments, live entertainment and a victory lap cheered by Camp Simcha campers and families.
  • Proceeds from Bike4Chai fund Chai Lifeline’s year-round services, including case management, hospital visits, medical transportation, crisis intervention, Camp Simcha and i-Shine afterschool programming.
  • Riders followed fully supported routes with rest stops and enjoyed the traditional opening-night pasta party before tackling Thursday’s scenic stages.
  • Organizers say the community-facing finish was introduced to broaden local engagement and enhance visibility for the charity’s mission.
