Some subreddits, including those for the NBA and Formula 1, are implementing the bans on a trial basis and allowing screenshots of X posts as a compromise.
Moderators of these subreddits aim to encourage content creators and journalists to migrate to alternative platforms like Bluesky.
Reddit clarified that the bans are not platform-wide but rather decisions made by individual subreddit moderators.
