Australian police have recovered more than 40,000 limited-edition Bluey coins stolen from a Sydney warehouse in July, with three arrests made in connection to the theft.

  • The coins, valued at one Australian dollar each, were found in a storage unit in the Sydney suburb of Wentworthville.
  • A total of 63,000 Bluey-themed coins were originally stolen from a warehouse in Wetherill Park, with nearly 23,000 still missing.
  • Three individuals have been charged, including a 27-year-old woman alleged to be the getaway driver.
  • Strike Force Bandit, named after a character from the Bluey series, was established to investigate the theft.
  • The Bluey coins have become highly sought after, with some selling for ten times their face value online.
