Over 40 Members of Boston Gang Charged in Major Federal Sweep

More than 40 members and associates of the Heath Street gang have been charged following a two-year federal investigation.
Charges include racketeering conspiracy, drug trafficking, illegal firearms possession, wire fraud, and COVID-19 assistance fraud.
The gang, operating mainly out of the Mildred C. Hailey Apartments in Boston, has been linked to murders, shootings, and organized retail theft.
Authorities seized over 60 firearms and uncovered COVID-19 fraud totaling more than $900,000.
The investigation aims to dismantle the gang's influence, restore peace to the community, and prevent the exploitation of young people.
