  • Police first discovered hidden cocaine in a Berlin supermarket on the evening of June 23.
  • Officers then carried out searches in several Berlin boroughs and in the Brandenburg counties of Potsdam-Mittelmark, Oberhavel, Ostprignitz-Ruppin and Prignitz, uncovering additional consignments in banana crates.
  • Authorities have seized more than 200 kilograms of the narcotic so far.
  • The investigation is being led by the Brandenburg State Criminal Police’s Narcotics Investigation Group and the Berlin-Brandenburg Customs Investigation Office.
  • Investigators continue to pursue leads to dismantle the trafficking network and trace its port-based supply routes.
