'Outlander: Blood of My Blood' Begins Production in Scotland

Starz has officially begun production on the 'Outlander' prequel series, 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood', in Scotland, set to explore the love stories of Jamie and Claire Fraser's parents.
The series will consist of 10 episodes and will focus on two parallel love stories set in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and WWI England.
Harriet Slater and Jamie Roy have been cast as Jamie Fraser's parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, while Hermione Corfield and Jeremy Irvine will portray Claire's parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp.
The prequel series does not yet have a release date, and the main 'Outlander' series is set to return for its eighth and final season.
'Outlander' star Sam Heughan predicts the prequel could be even more successful than the original series.
