  • Bilbao opened its Rekalde, Txurdinaga and Artxanda outdoor pools on May 31 with upgraded ramps, seating for people with disabilities and new antislip surfaces.
  • Galdakao and Ugao-Miraballes launched their seasons on June 1, with Ugao extending its run by a month and Galdakao operating on staggered daily schedules.
  • Sestao, Portugalete and Santurtzi have also begun pool operations, introducing new toboggan time slots in Sestao and a marine-life mural at Portugalete’s Pando Aisia complex.
  • Barakaldo’s Gorostiza pool resumed regular hours after Emtesport and ELA reached an agreement granting lifeguards salary increases and full-time vacancy guarantees.
  • Pools across the region will remain open daily through late September, offering free access for local sports-service subscribers and multi-entry passes for other residents.
