Outbound Indian Students Reached 7.6 Lakh in 2024, Easing From 2023 Peak

The government cited BoI data to highlight visa facilitation, recognition agreements, consular support for students.

More than 7.6 lakh Indian students went abroad for higher studies in 2024, according to Bureau of Immigration data shared in the Lok Sabha. The figure shows a slight fall from the peak of nearly 8.95 lakh in 2023.
