OurBrainBank: A Patient-Led Movement Against Glioblastoma

Despite Limited Funding and High Mortality Rates, OurBrainBank Continues to Advocate for Glioblastoma Research and Treatment

Jessica Morris, diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM) in 2016, founded the international charity OurBrainBank, which is dedicated to turning GBM from terminal to treatable, powered by patients.
GBM is one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer, with only 5% of patients surviving five years post-diagnosis.
Despite the severity of GBM, it receives significantly less funding for research compared to other cancers, with only 5% of research funding applications being approved.
Morris survived for five years, during which she battled the disease with groundbreaking personalized treatment and advocated for more resources and research into GBM.
OurBrainBank is conducting patient-led research and data collection, and is working to collect and share patient data to find new and better treatments using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
