Ottawa Police Shooting Incident Under Investigation

A 33-year-old man is in critical-stable condition after being shot by police following alleged assaults in Ottawa's east end.

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is probing the police shooting of a man suspected of assaulting multiple people and damaging vehicles.
Four civilians were injured during the incident and have been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The confrontation occurred after Ottawa police received emergency calls about a man with a weapon in a shopping plaza.
Officers reportedly used firearms and two stun guns to subdue the suspect, who was then taken to the hospital.
Both the SIU and Ottawa police are conducting separate investigations into the shooting and the alleged assaults.
