• Osakidetza began applying the 8 AM – 5 PM summer schedule on June 18 at Álava and Gipuzkoa clinics, including Loiola in San Sebastián, Andoain and Zumarraga.
• More than 80 primary care centers across the Basque region will operate on the reduced timetable this summer, with over 30 set to close on specific days.
• Approximately 211 centers, representing 63 percent of total facilities, will maintain their usual opening hours without any restrictions.
• The number of Gipuzkoa health centers cutting hours has dropped from 26 last year to 18 this summer.
• Osakidetza says the adjustments are designed to maintain care quality while allowing health professionals to rest during periods of lower demand.
