  • Organizers expect turnout to rise through the Oct. 13 closing and will move fireworks earlier to help stagger departures.
  • Also on Sept. 6, the cumulative tally including staff hit 20.25 million, which organizers marked with an on-site ceremony.
  • The milestone came on the 147th day since opening, a pace officials said is the fastest among post-2000 expos except Shanghai 2010.
  • Three visitors were certified as the symbolic 20,250,000th and received commemorative gifts, with the ceremony streamed on the Virtual Expo.
