OroraTech Secures €25 Million to Expand Wildfire Detection Satellite Network

The Munich-based startup aims to enhance its AI-powered system and launch new satellites to improve wildfire monitoring globally.

The €25 million Series B funding round was led by Korys, the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund, and Bayern Kapital.
The startup uses AI and thermal data from over 25 satellites to predict and monitor wildfire risks, offering real-time insights to clients.
OroraTech has secured a €20 million contract with Greece, in partnership with the European Space Agency, to build a national wildfire detection system.
The company intends to use the funding to enhance its data modeling, expand in North America, and develop its orbital sensor network.
