Orioles and Nationals Settle Part of Dispute Over MASN TV Rights Payments

The Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals reached an agreement to settle a dispute over payments from 2012 to 2016 regarding the Nationals' local television rights.
The Orioles agreed to pay the Nationals nearly $100 million.
The settlement does not resolve years of tension between the clubs as they must determine the amount MASN owes for 2017 to 2021.
MLB and the Nationals are hopeful the agreement will make determining future rights fees easier.
Future payments may decrease due to changing viewer habits towards streaming.
