Overview

  • Third baseman Jordan Westburg returned to the lineup after a left hamstring strain that sidelined him since April 26.
  • Center fielder Cedric Mullins rejoined the team without a rehab assignment following a right hamstring strain sustained on May 28.
  • The club optioned top prospect Heston Kjerstad to Triple-A Norfolk and designated infielder Emmanuel Rivera for assignment.
  • Outfielders Colton Cowser and Ramón Laureano had already been activated and both Tyler O’Neill and Gary Sánchez remain on minor league rehab assignments.
  • Interim manager Tony Mansolino said Westburg is the “glue” of the lineup, underscoring his role in restoring the Orioles’ cohesion.
