Oregon State, Washington State to Join West Coast Conference
Schools Secure Control of Pac-12 Following Court Victory
- Oregon State and Washington State are set to join the West Coast Conference (WCC) as affiliate members for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons in 12 sports, including men's and women's basketball.
- The football teams from the two schools have a separate agreement in place for 2024 with the Mountain West, as the WCC does not have football.
- Football and baseball are not part of the agreement with the WCC.
- The Pac-12 will essentially cease to exist after this season when it loses UCLA, USC, Oregon and Washington to the Big Ten, and Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah to the Big 12.
- The two schools recently won a court battle for control of the Pac-12, a ruling that allows the two schools to control $400 million in revenue.
