Oregon man pleads guilty to hate crimes after anti-LGBT rampage

Matthew Alan Lehigh threatened, assaulted and attempted to run over people he believed were part of the LGBT community in Boise, Idaho.
Lehigh pleaded guilty to federal hate crime charges for punching a transgender library worker, verbally attacking and trying to hit with his car women he thought were lesbians, setting fire to a Pride flag, and damaging an LGBT organization's building.
The rampage terrified victims and devastated the community according to the FBI.
Lehigh faces 37 to 45 months in prison for the attacks.
Advocates say Lehigh's hate-filled actions highlight the need to combat anti-LGBT discrimination and violence.
