- Domagoj Patkovic, 31, of Portland, Oregon, pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to make threats and conveying false information concerning explosives.
- The threats, made between May 2021 and September 2021, targeted Jewish hospitals and care centers in Long Island and New York City.
- Patkovic and accomplices made at least six threatening calls, including bomb threats, some of which led to evacuations and lockdowns of hospital facilities.
- The calls were livestreamed on social media, further amplifying the disruption and fear caused by the hoaxes.
- Patkovic faces up to 15 years in prison and was charged in August 2024 before being brought to New York to face trial.
