Oregon Insurance CEO’s Home Targeted in Early Morning Shooting

Police are investigating a suspected targeted attack on SAIF CEO Chip Terhune's home, which occurred days after he received threatening emails referencing employees and their families.

Chip Terhune, CEO of Oregon's SAIF Corporation, confirmed his home in Lake Oswego was struck by gunfire early Friday morning, with no injuries reported.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing dark clothing and a hood or ski mask, carrying a light-colored object, and fleeing the scene on foot before leaving in a nearby vehicle.
Police believe the attack was targeted but have not disclosed a motive, stating there is no broader threat to the community at this time.
Terhune revealed he received an email prior to the shooting from someone claiming responsibility, which included references to SAIF employees and their relatives’ names and addresses.
The incident follows a recent high-profile attack on another healthcare executive, raising concerns about the safety of industry leaders.
