Orangutan Infant Rescued by Dorset Sanctuary

Sibu Junior, born at Dublin Zoo, is now under the care of Monkey World's specialist orangutan crèche after his mother couldn't feed him.

Sibu Junior, a 12-week-old orangutan, was born at Dublin Zoo but required relocation due to his mother's inability to feed him.
The infant orangutan is now being cared for at Monkey World – Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset, known for its expertise with orphaned orangutans.
Staff at Dublin Zoo provided round-the-clock care before Sibu's transfer, ensuring his health and safety.
Monkey World's nursery aims to help orphaned orangutans like Sibu grow with peers, preparing them for future integration into adult groups.
Sibu will remain at the sanctuary for approximately 10 years, developing alongside other young orangutans.
