Overview

  • Orange and global infrastructure investor Morrison have signed an exclusivity agreement to form a 50/50 jointly controlled data centre company located in France.
  • Under the proposal Orange would contribute five major data centres across four campuses in Chevilly-Larue, Aubervilliers, Chartres and Val-de-Reuil to the new platform.
  • The platform is targeting roughly 400 MW of total capacity and would be supported by a €3 billion investment programme combining Orange assets, Morrison equity and debt.
  • Orange would keep operational control over areas used for its own services and Orange Business is expected to be the exclusive distributor of the joint venture’s colocation and hosting offers.
  • The deal remains conditional on employee representative consultations and regulatory approvals with signing planned by the end of 2026 and closing anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.
