Overview

  • Tribunal Oral Federal Nº3 began hearings with the reading of the indictment by prosecutors Carlos Rívolo and Alejandra Mángano, a process that will continue at the next session on Wednesday, September 3.
  • Corazza is tried alongside Rolando Angelotti, Leandro Aguiar, Andrés Fernando Charpenet and Raúl Ignacio Mermet, with Angelotti portrayed as the leader and the others as participants in the alleged network.
  • The charges include asociación ilícita, trata de personas, abuso sexual, promoción de la prostitución and corrupción de menores, tied to alleged conduct from 1999 to March 2023 across the City and Province of Buenos Aires and Misiones.
  • Court peritajes reported chat exchanges, pornographic material and app-based payments on Corazza’s phone that prosecutors cite as evidence linking him to at least two youths.
  • Corazza told reporters he is innocent and will defend himself in court, after the Cassation Court on August 12 rejected a defense bid to delay the trial; if convicted, he faces roughly 3 to 15 years in prison.
